We are optimistic that it is possible to run the competition, however we cannot say with certainty. Currently, the situation is still very critical and traveling is not possible or only possible to a limited extent. Time will show how good vaccination works and if we can go back to a "new normal" soon.
We are aware that this years' competition will be smaller and different to the years before. But better times will come. Our health has priority.
We wanted to let you know that we continue our planning and everything is still as it was planned (date, venue, judges etc).
We will open our registration for teams:
26th June - 10th July
And for individuals:
10th July - 17th July
In case your country runs qualifications later than 10th July please let us know.

Dear Dogdancers,
We have some exciting news! Since it is impossible to organize the OEC this year due to Corona,
we will postpone the OEC to next year:
16th-19th September 2021
in the Agility Zentrum in Albbruck, Germany!
We all hope that the world will go back to “normal” as soon as possible and that it is actually possible to organize such a big event next year. But we stay positive! We are looking forward to organizing this fantastic and top-class event and we can’t wait to welcome the all the competitors in Germany.
We know that this date is pretty close to the FCI EOC. However, we have agreed on that date long before the date of the EOC was published. Summers are pretty hot in Germany, so we can’t do it earlier. Summer holidays in Baden-Wurttemberg end the weekend before the OEC and the last two weekends of the summer holidays are the most busy ones and there will be a lot of traffic, so we can avoid that. Also, we don’t want to do it when it is cold in late autumn or winter. Anyway, the more big events there are, the closer the dates will be together and we can’t please everyone.
By the end of this year we will provide more information (e.g. registration, travel information etc.).

Dear dogdancers,
We want to bring you up to date about the current discussions concerning the OEC 2020.
Due to the current situation and the uncertain travel regulations this year, as well as the uncertainty regarding the conduction of qualification competitions, we consider to postpone our OEC to next year.
However, the different options we consider – especially regarding the date – depend on the following key factor:
Mrs. Carmen Schmid has applied for the OEC 2021 and this has been confirmed by the OEC meeting. The decisive factor for our subsequent planning is the information whether her competition in Stuttgart 2021 will be an OEC or the FCI EOC.
We have asked Carmen Schmid to give us an answer to our question several times, already back in March – however, she denied to answer. Thus, we see ourselves forced to go public and, once more, ask her to make a statement.
We would like to ask the committee to allow her a reasonable time of two weeks to make a statement. In case she ignores our request once more we rate her silence as a commitment to the FCI EOC. The reason for this assumption is the fact that she made significant contributions to the creation of the FCI EOC and that she will prefer to host the FCI EOC.
From our point of view, this procedure is the only correct and fair approach – not only regarding the organization team and the judges of the OEC 2020, but also regarding the dogdancers from all over the world who then have chance to plan and run their qualifications and change their travel plans.
As soon as we get an answer from Carmen Schmid within the two weeks deadline, or as soon as the committee has come to a conclusion, we will inform you about the next steps.
